Through the ages
and changes

My relationship with the physical body began long before it became my life's work.

As a child and young adult, sport & dance was a big part of my life. Following an accident that left me with a permanent impairment in my elbow, I experienced my first real lesson in adapting and acceptance.

Looking back, this is what sparked a lifelong curiosity in the power of the mind and its relationship with the bodies ability to heal and grow through life's challanges and changes.

Throughout my twenties and thirties, I immersed myself in health and fitness.

I trained across a range of hands-on and movement-based disciplines, from my first cerification exercise to music to personal training and sports massage.

When I later left the UK and began travelling, my perspective widened. It was during this time that I first studied yoga, meditation and mind-body practices, and began to integrate more holistic and embodied approaches into my life and work.

When Everything Changed

In 2020, I began to adapt my work to fit the growing online market.

And then unexpectadly I lost my father to COVID while navigating my own experience of perimenopause.

Grief, PTSD and hormonal changes jolted my life and body into whole new territory, one of stillness and retreating inwards.

Somatic practices, sound and nature became part of my healing. Helping me reconnect with my body in totally new ways, enabling me to process long-held emotions and trauma and rediscover what it meant to feel truly supported from within.

When I later contracted long COVID myself, I had to rebuild my strength from within again. That experience reinforced everything I had been learning about listening to the body.

Sound Somatics: Rest & Digest

Rest & Digest

Melanie’s therapeutic workshop will rewire and rejuvenate the cells, shift blocked energy and increase your awareness through the process of sound and somatics.

It’s a chance to connect with your body and allow it to then receive the healing vibrations of the sound waves, which also assist with regulating the nervous and digestive systems.

Together We Move: Exploring connection through partner practice

Exploring connection through partner practice

This offering blends partner yoga and somatic movement to gently explore themes of trust, relational awareness, and co-regulation.

Rooted in curiosity and care, it invites participants to move with not just beside each other. Through shared postures, mindful touch, and responsive movement, we explore how connection feels in the body.

The structure centres consent, communication, and presence supporting people to attune to one another in grounding, respectful ways. This session has been shared with all kinds of pairings, from friends and partners to new connections formed on the day.
